Year 8 had a wonderful visit to The Polytechnic today where they got to work with the university’s expert staff and equipment to learn CAM techniques – even getting the chance to 3D-print their own designs! This trip was the culmination of hours of technical drawing, computer design and computer aided manufacturing.

During this term, they have learnt how to use the industry-level computer-aided design package, Autodesk Fusion 360, to build 3D models. After learning the key skills, they were then given free-reign to design anything they could imagine! It was these designs that they printed today.

Thank you to our friends at the Design Studio in The University of Malawi, Polytechnic!
