Located in Limbe near Blantyre, we are a Cambridge Pathway school that offers complete education, based on the English National Curriculum, from Pre-Nursery, through to IGCSE level in Year 11.

Hillview, founded on a site which was originally an airport, began in the late 1950s as a Primary School. Formerly part of the Designated Schools Board (DSB), Hillview International School is now one of Malawi’s premier private schools. Hillview has a beautiful setting on the southern side of Limbe looking south towards Mount Mulanje.

Hillview launched its High School in 2015. Fully solar powered from its inception, our High School follows the Cambridge Pathway with Checkpoint examinations at the end of Year 9 and IGCSEs at the end of Year 11.

In 2017, Hillview became the first school in Malawi to be part of the Junior Award Scheme for Schools and in 2018, Hillview became affiliated with Rotary International and launched its EarlyAct and InterAct clubs to help support the local community.

In 2019, we became the only Primary School in Malawi to use the world-leading Singapore Maths curriculum “Maths No Problem!” and in 2021, we became a Renaissance Partner School in recognition of our work with Accelerated Reader and Star Reading tests in both our Primary and High Schools. In 2023, we joined Learning Village to help provide better support for our EAL students.
