Year 8 had a wonderful visit to The Polytechnic today where they got to work with the university’s expert staff and equipment to learn CAM techniques – even getting the chance to 3D-print their own designs! This trip was the culmination of hours of technical drawing, computer design and computer aided manufacturing.
On June 20th, 2018, we held a car boot sale! Clothes, toys, books, jewellery, DVDs, furniture and much more were up for grabs and it was a great day for all.

Today, we were also extremely proud to launch our partnership with Rotary International and induct our inaugural Presidents for EarlyAct (from Key Stage 2) and InterAct (Key Stage 3). Hillview is the very first school in Malawi to run both these youth clubs.
This morning, Mrs Chisi took Year 1 children on a trip to the farm! They enjoyed observing the farm animals and feeding the animals too. In Science, Year 1 has been studying how plants grow and the different kinds of farm animals and their young. It was a great opportunity for our young students to see their schoolwork come to life!
These days, using a keyboard and mouse is as important as writing. For that reason, we encourage you to let your children use laptops and PCs at home to further develop their keyboard and mouse skills. Sadly, using tablets like iPads, Galaxy Tabs and Surface are hampering the development of these skills and it is important they use real computers when possible.
